Hey there, hi there, ho there!

Today I’d like to show you a simple card I created for a friend who just retired.

I used Spellbinders paper and stamps from the July 2022 card kit.

Here’s a shot of most of the supplies…

I ended up pulling a different piece of paper from the pad. The rainbows just weren’t doing it for me today.

You’ll need some embossing ink, gold embossing powder, and a green ink (I used Fake Plant from Simon Hurley).

Stamp the top half of the potted plant using green ink onto a white card stock panel.

Stamp the bottom half of the potted plant onto a separate piece of card stock with embossing ink and emboss with gold powder.

Cut out just the pot.

Adhere the gold pot over the area below the plant to create the entire image.

Add a shadow below the potted plant so it’s not floating in space. I used a brush stroke stamp from Viva Las Vegas Stamps and London Fog Memento ink. I got ink onto the gold pot but was just able to wipe it off.

Trim the white panel down and mat onto patterned paper. This paper is from the July 2022 Spellbinders card kit. I thought it looked great with the gold pot.

Add your sentiment. I used a sentiment strip from Paper Rose.

To keep it level with the gold pot, add a piece of the same card stock you stamped the pot on behind the ‘happy’ part of the sentiment strip. This keeps it from looking humped up over the edge of the gold pot.

I then added a skinny foam strip and placed it onto the card.

Add a little bling! I used confetti from Trinity Stamps.
