Hello friends!

Today I am playing along with the Color Dare Challenge Blog! Hey! Make a card and join me!

I’ve created a Halloween card to share with ya.

This week’s challenge is to use Melon (in Close to My Heart colors) or the closest thing you have to it and two other colors. Admittedly, I stretched this idea a bit because my second color is just in the sequins 😂

I don’t have Melon so I subbed Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide Ink.

Here’s most of the supplies. I busted out the hot foil machine and some Viva Las Vegas Stamps.

Let’s make a card.

Alrighty first you need a background.

I use gold foil on black card stock. I have the Go Press & Foil machine (bought it off the Marketplace super cheap!) and I used a Spellbinders foil plate. This ran through the Sizzix Switch just perfect!

Create your foiled piece and set aside.

Grab some white card stock and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink- or Melon card stock.

Ink up your card stock with Ripe Persimmon and trim to the size of your card.

Trim down your foiled panel and attach to inked card stock. Attach this to your card base.

Stamp and emboss the tree image on white card stock.

I used Ranger’s black sparkle embossing powder.

Ink with Ripe Persimmon & Twisted Citron.

Use a baby wipe or damp cloth to wipe any ink off the embossing.

Splatter some black ink onto the panel. I used Dylusions ink spray.

Trim down to a size you like and ink the edges with black ink. Mat onto black card stock.

Ink up another piece of white card stock with Ripe Persimmon & Twisted Citron, stamp your sentiment in black.

Ink the edges with black ink and mat onto black card stock.

Assemble the card as shown.

After it was all together I decided to add the row of pumpkins (don’t do this, stamp them after you ink the paper LOL)

Add sequins-I used orange and red.

I obviously need to join OSO- Over Sequiner Anonymous 😂
