Hello friends! I hope you’re having a great day!
It’s time for another challenge at the Color Dare blog. This week we’ve got another tic tac toe.
I went with the center row, so I’ve used Avocado, Toffee, and Capri.
I made a birthday card with My Favorite Things stamps, Close to My Heart card stocks, and a Sizzix 3D embossing folder.
Here’s a shot of most of the supplies-
Alrighty let’s make a card!
You’ll need a white card base, some white card stock to stamp on, and card stocks in Avocado, Toffee, and Capri- or whatever you have that’s close.
Run scraps of all three colors through an embossing folder. This is a 3D folder that came with the Sizzix Switch. Sand the embossing to reveal some of the white core.
Cut a lightweight panel of card stock to 4 x5.25″. Trim your embossed papers and put them onto this panel. Then center the panel on the card front.
Now get those stamps out and stamp some images. I ended up using one dog, the pupcake, one party hat, two banners, and one set of balloons.
Color them however you like- I used a few alcohol markers.
Die cut your images and arrange on the card front. Glue everything down flat except for the pupcake.
Add a sentiment strip & pupcake with foam tape.
Add some hearts. I used colored & gold hearts.
Supplies-
- card base, white card stock scraps, black stamping ink, coloring tools of your choice, die cut machine, scissors, trimmer, adhesives, sanding block
- embossing folder
- heart embellishments
- My favorite Things stamps & dies
- Close to My Heart card stocks– Avocado, Toffee, Capri
So cute!! Love the embossed background and the added texture with the sanding.
Like the technique used for your embossed background in the variable colors… gives it great dimension and love the birthday scene you created with your colored images… adorable and fun card.
