Hey there hi there ho there!

Today I have a slimline card to share with you, playing along with Color Dare challenge #553.

Why don’t you play along with us? You can share your card on whatever social media you want- you don’t have to have a blog.

This challenge was a little different. We need to use brown, red, and one other color.

I used Vintage Photo, Bee Sting, and Remember Me ink colors.

Here’s the card I created.

Here’s a shot of most of the supplies.

Let’s get started.

Grab your card base (mine is a white slimline card), some cool stamps, a brick stencil, black ink, and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Stamp a few background stamps using black ink. Stencil the bricks over the card front using Vintage Photo distress Ink.

Add a little more stamping over top of the bricks.

While the stencil is out, go ahead and stencil a little bit inside the card. Remember “no nekkid insides”.😂

Now stamp your focal image down the left edge of the card using black ink (I stamped it three times), and stamp again on a separate piece of white card stock.

Now let’s add color to our focal image.

Begin coloring the image that you stamped onto card stock using a water brush (or wet paint brush) and the inks you’ve beens stamping with. I painted around the edge of the flowers with Vintage Photo. Then I painted some areas of the flowers with Remember Me, and some with Bee Sting.

Once this is dry, cut it out.

Grab some thread (I used black and gold).

Place the thread on the card front, positioned to be under the focal image when it’s added.

I just used scotch tape to hold the thread in place.

Add foam to your cut out focal image, and add it over the threads on the card front.

Now for a sentiment. I used a Paper Rose sentiment strip, but if you’d rather stamp one, go ahead and do so. Trim to. rectangle and ink edges with Vintage Photo.

Add foam to the back of the sentiment and add to the card front as shown.

Now it’s time for some bling. You could use sequins, confetti, Dew Drops, Pops of Color, whatever.

I used these awesome gold hearts from Dress My Craft.
