Hey homies!

Today I have a fun teeny tiny scrapbook page to share with you today.

It measures 4″x5″…yeah, tiny!

I created this page on Bee watercolor paper. It’s my fave watercolor paper for mixed media work and watercolor practice. I LOVE the texture of it, and it’s a decent white.

Here’s a shot of most of the supplies…

Alrighty, let’s get creating!

First thing ya gotta do, is get your watercolor paper and three Distress Oxide Inks. I chose Lost Shadow, Picked Raspberry, and Twisted Citron.

Start inking the paper with the lightest color (in this case, Lost Shadow) and ink a small area. Continue on with your other two colors, blending edges slightly.

Once you’re all inked up, sling some water at that paper and let the ink do what Distress ink does 😍

Blot, dry, and stamp the grid stamp down the left side of the page using Jet Black Archival Ink.

Now stamp the critter (cricket? grasshopper?) using Archival ink roughly in the center of the page. Add a little color to the critter using whatever method you like. I used three alcohol markers- bright green, bright yellow, and hot pink.

Stamp the sentiment below the critter using the same ink.

Add some splatter in whatever way suits your fancy. I used Daniel Smith gold watercolor.

Use the black ink pad around the edges of the page, leaning in slightly to get some ink on the front. Take that same ink pad and rub it along the left side over the grid stamping.

For my final touches, I added gold to the crown using a gel pen, and added a little bling from the party mix.

Here’s the current art journal. I trimmed a bunch of watercolor paper scraps int uniform rectangles and put ’em together on a binder ring. There’s different sizes cause I had lots of different scraps.
