Hello! Happy hot summer!

I picked up this gorgeous stamp & die set from Spellbinders a few weeks ago.

I love all things ocean themed and the sample card in the shop was just lovely.

Here’s a shot of most of the supplies.

So get yourself some Distress Inks and let’s make a tag!

I used three blue Distress Oxides. Blend the entire tag and let dry (or dry with heat tool). Place a stencil over the tag and blot through the tag with a baby wipe or damp paper towel to remove the ink. Cool, huh!

Next, add some splatter to the background. I used a couple of Distress sprays and a Tattered Angels shimmer spray. Set it aside to dry and let’s start doing some stamping.

Stamp one seahorse, a few shells, and a few of the detailed seaweed. Color however you like (I used watercolors and some shimmer watercolor). Dry, and die cut them out.

For the seahorse I die cut one out of foam, so that the seahorse has dimension.

If you don’t have foam, just cut a few from cardstock and stack ’em up.

Now stamp some of the skinny seaweed on the tag using green ink (I used Archival Ink in Evergreen Bough). Next, find a speckle or dot stamp and emboss some glitter dots on the background.

I added some Tim Holtz rub ons to the background.

Layer the seaweed and shells as shown. I let some hang off the bottom of the tag and trimmed them off.

For a sentiment I used Tim Holtz word chips but you can use whatever ya like.

Just make sure to make whatever you use dimensional.

Finally add the seahorse, a few dew drops, and whatever embellishments you want for the tag hole.
