Hello friends, welcome back.

Today I have an adorable birthday card to share.

I’m playing along with the Color Dare challenge blog. Come play with us!

This week’s challenge is to use at least three of these colors.

I used Glacier, Linen, and Nectarine.

Here’s a photo of the supplies- everything but the circle dies, that is.

The stamp set is from Simon Hurley.

This was a very simple card to put together. You can always add more embellishments and stuff, and fancy it up if you desire.

First, get your card base (mine is a top folding A2 card).

Cover the card front with a Linen panel. Cut a panel from Glacier (I used Waffle Flower die #3 in). Center a circle die on the Glacier panel, but slightly more towards the top, and cut a circle.

Stamp your outside sentiment below the circle.

Cut a circle from Linen card stock using the same die that you use to cut the circle form the Glacier panel. Stamp a dog 😊

Stamp a party hat on a scrap of Tangerine and a bow on a stamp of Glacier. Cut ’em out and add to the puppy. Add some white dots to the party hat with a gel pen.

Now you need a couple of hearts. Punch or die cut some hearts from Tangerine card stock. Run them through a dot embossing folder and sand the raised areas. Close to My Heart cardstock is fabulous for this!

Center the Glacier panel on the card front using foam tape (I used fun foam).

Add the puppy circle inside using a thinner foam tape (I used Simon Says Stamp thin foam squares).

Add a heart, and put some Stickles on the party hat.

Stamp “happy birthday” inside and add a trail of paw prints.

Use the other embossed heart inside.

Supply list-

  • card base
  • Simon Hurley stamp set “Puppy Puns”
  • Waffle Flower A2 layering dies, Hero Arts nested circle dies, die cut matching
  • Adhesives, scissors, white gel pen, black ink pad.
