Hey there hit there ho there. Welcome back.
Today I want to share an art journal page. This was a fast one but I adore it.
You don’t need many supplies- a few Distress Oxide inks, a stencil, some shimmer spray (or watercolor), watercolor crayons/art crayons/gelatos, some die cuts, glue, & foam tape.
I started with three art crayons. Just scribble ’em on and move the pigment around with water.
If you’re impatient like I am, speed up drying with the heat gun.
Next, get your stencil and lightest color of Oxide ink.
I used Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo, and Black Soot (in this order).
With the lightest color, randomly ink through the stencil. Repeat with each additional color.
Then, use your shimmer spray/watercolor/whatever you prefer, and do a little dripping along the top edge. Add a few splatters, too. I used Flickering candle Distress Mica Stain.
Once that background is dry, you can start placing your die cuts.
I cut flowers and leaves from Spellbinders S4-1091 “Simply Layered Blooms”.
I use this set A TON.
I inked some of the die cuts.
Start from the center of your page and work out.
Cut and stack the word love three times, and then cut a final layer from glitter card stock and top the stack with the glitter. Cut and stack the shadow three times. If you don’t have a shadow die you can cut your own shape with scissors.
Place the love die cut onto its shadow and center on the floral cluster, using foam tape.
