Hello my fine feathered friends. Happy Almost-Pumpkin-Spice-Season!

Halloween starts on Sept 1st around here but I had a little idea and had to get it out of my head HAHA so I’m a week early. I hope you like it!

My Prize Ribbon package arrived last week. That coupled with this kitty stamp set from JoAnns (it’s a J’s exclusive) had my Halloween mind going.

To start, I took a Ranger tag and inked it with Prize Ribbon Distress Ink and Black Soot OXIDE ink. Throw some water at it and then dry with a heat tool. Then I used Prize Ribbon Distress Ink through the starry portion of the stencil that came with the kitty stamp set.

Isn’t it gorgeous?!?!?!

Next, I sprayed some Distress Oxide spray (Wilted Violet) through the entire stencil.

Dry with heat tool, and then splatter some white ink on the tag.

Once that’s dry (yeah lots of drying on this one!), use some embossing ink through the stars on the stencil. Use Distress Glaze in Prize Ribbon for some cool shiny stars.

This background makes my heart happy.

For the moon, I painted a scrap of card stock with Dylusions shimmer paint (Pure Sunshine) and cut out a circle. I glued the moon down and rubbed a little black Gelato around it and over it.

Cut out some eyes. I used a Thinlets set, but use whatever ya got. You could even stamp eyes. Put eyes on your moon.

Stamp and emboss the kitty & the pumpkin with black ink and black embossing powder. Color and cut out.

For the kitty, I just used Pumice Stone Oxide ink with a wet paint brush.

For the pumpkin I used watered down Dylusions paint (the same as the moon paint). Once that dried, I added some Abandoned Coral Oxide ink with a wet brush, along with a little Crackling Campfire Oxide with a wet brush (Campfire used in the shading areas of the pumpkin).

Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of white, trim, and grunge it up a little.

Pick out some Idea-ology paper pieces and grunge them up a little.

Glue the pumpkin down in the corner. Put kitty on top. Add your Idea-ology pieces along the bottom.

I gave the kitty a bow tie because why not? LOL

For the trimmings to go into the tag hole, I dyed some Mummy Cloth and seam binging tape with Prize Ribbon Spray Stain and a little Black Soot archival ink. Tie however you prefer and add a word charm and a gem.

To finish off I added sequins, Dew Drops, and a few tiny rhinestones.

I’m so excited to display this tag this year!
