Hello friends!

It’s almost Halloween! Whoop!

I love me some Halloween. I love it all- creepy, cute, scary. Yup.

So today I have a Halloween card to share. This card is heading off to my friend in Albuquerque.

Here’s a photo of most of the supplies…

So you’ll need a card base (mine is a top fold white card base A2 size), and two A2 pieces of white card stock to start.

Using one of the pieces of white card stock, stencil a background with Chipped Sapphire Distress ink. Remove the stencil and go over the design with Dusty Concord to cover the white. This turned out so pretty!

Now with the second piece of white card stock, ink blend using the same colors.

Next, throw a little water at your inked paper and let the Distress ink do its thing.

Once it’s dry, stencil bats using Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.

Isn’t that cool!!

Now it’s time to start stamping.

Stamp the haunted house onto your inked panel using Jet Black Archival ink.

Stamp it again on white card stock, and color in your chosen method.

I used Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.

Now, cut out the colored image and adhere to the batty background panel. Trim down, ink around the edges with Black Soot, and add some cute trim along the bottom of the panel.

Attach your stenciled panel to the card front (I didn’t trim this down- I wanted it to cove the entire card front).

Using foam tape add the haunted house to the card front, centering it.

Now emboss some bats on the card front using black sparkle embossing powder.

For the sentiment, I embossed “in the dead of night” from the haunted house stamp set with white embossing powder onto black card stock. Cut with a banner die and add to card as shown using a little glue and foam tape.

The last thing I did was stamp a whole lotta bats inside the card on the right margin. These bats came from the haunted house stamp set.

That’s it! I really like this card and it was fun to create.
