Hello my fine feathered friends! Long time no post! HA! I hope you’re doing well.

My husband’s grandmother passed away in December and we traveled from Florida to Pennsylvania for a week. We came home VERY sick and had the rona. We were down for 9 days, then went to Ohio for two weeks to visit our newborn granddaughter. OMG she is precious! So now we have two lovely grands- a 3 year old and a brand new one!

This little project turned out so darn cute.

Starting with a canvas from The Robin’s Nest, pull out your acrylic paints and get to making! 😀

The first thing I did was attach this canvas piece to a canvas panel using Tacky Glue. I weighted it down overnight as it dried to make sure it’s good and stuck.

Then coat the canvas with clear gesso, and get to work.

Using a splatter stamp I added some  stamping under the water using permanent ink. I also stamped “here fishy fishy” on some tissue paper using the same permanent ink.

To get the texture in the water, I painted with watered down dark blue paint and then dabbed it with a paper towel while it was still wet. Once that’s dry, then add the words using some matte medium.

The sky is painted with watered down light blue paint (Salvaged Patina).

Paint your boat! Once allll that paint dried, I went over the lines of the boat and the waves with a paint pen. The fishy was painted with orange shimmer paint from Dylusions. I traced him, too, but I left the anchor and its line alone so it looks like its under the water.

Annddd of course ya HAVE to add some Dew Drops. I gave fishy some bubbles.
