Hello there. Welcome back.

Today I’d like to share a fall card with you using Lawn Fawn dies and Tim Holtz Distress stuff.

I hope ya like it!

I am really happy with this card.

I worked on this while hubby was painting the grand baby’s bedroom.

First things first, gather your supplies- card base, water color paper, watercolors (I used Tim Holtz watercolor pencils), sprays, and Distress Inks. Don’t forget your Lawn Fawn dies, too!

Ok, let’s get to cutting.

Cut the barrel and apples from watercolor paper. I cut a few extra leaves and a few extra apples.

Put some low tack tape on the back (I use Mint Tape) to keep the die cuts in place. You don’t HAVE to do this, but it makes ’em easier to color.

Get to coloring (or painting, or whatever you fancy).

When the watercolor was done, I dried it with the heat tool, and then hit with some Distress spray stain and some Distress Mica Stain.

I LOVE the apples!

For the barrel, I used Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, and Black Soot pencils. Dried it and did some inking with Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Ink.

For the metal bands I used Antique Linen pencil and then sprayed with Iron Gate Distress Mica Stain.

Now let’s work on the sentiment.

Cut the happy fall twice from watercolor paper.

Color the HAPPY only. I used Prize Ribbon watercolor pencil, and did a few coats. Then ink with Ground Espresso.

Now, stack them and when dry, ink around as much as possible with Ground espresso.

I used a finger dauber and that made it much easier.

Cut the fall from glitter card stock. Mine is from Simon Says Samp.

Now, since this is all attached, you’ll have to trim round the top of the word fall.

Add your glitter fall over the stacked die cut.

Isn’t that pretty!!

Time to color the leaves.

I used finger daubers and Distress Ink to color the leaves.

Now we have a pile of pretty die cuts.

Awesome sauce!!!

Layer the band piece over the barrel. Super simple but so great.

Now you can start adding apples to the barrel.

The barrel cuts a slit so that you can easily arrange apples. I cut a few apples in half to arrange them. I love how this turned out.

Now it’s time for the back ground.

First, wet a piece of watercolor paper (this one is 5.5 x 4.25″).

Next, start adding color.

I did a mixture of scribbling on the paper and taking a wet brush to the pencil, and flicking the paint onto the paper, adding water and moving the paper around as I went.

Once you’ve covered the paper, dry it with your heat tool and add a little more if ya like. I added a little more Prize Ribbon at this point. Dry again.

Now, add some sprays.

I did some Distress Spray Stain, dried it, and then adde some Glimmer Mist.

Soooooo pretty. And just the slightest hint of shimmer.

Now let’s put this baby together!

When your card panel is fully dry trim it down to 5.25 x 4″….There’s a lot going on here, so this one really benefits from the white border.

Ink the edges with (you guessed it) Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso. Add a little Black Soot if you’re feeling dangerous 😁

Put the panel on the card front with WET GLUE and weight down for a few minutes to dry.

TRUST ME on this one- ya want wet glue for watercolor paper.

Next, add the happy fall (wet glue) at the top, as high as you can while still keeping it on the gorgeous panel.

Add your apple barrel centered below. I wanted it popped up so I use fun foam one the back.

Now add your pretty little leaves.

I was totally planning to add sequins but I didn’t think this card needed them.

So, what do ya think?

What’s your favorite part of this card? Leave a comment and let me know!
