hello friends, welcome back.

Today I have a birthday card to share with you using a stamp from Gina K Designs, dies from Tim Holtz, and the color Lagoon from Close to My Heart.

This week’s challenge is to use black, white and ONE color.

The only neutrals you are allowed is gold & silver.

This was a lot of fun and I’m very pleased with the card.

Here’s a shot of most of the supplies.

Let’s make a card!

Grab yourself a gold base card and two card stock panels- one black, one white.

Trim the panels to fit with the white card stock on a black mat. I used Waffle Flower dies for this.

PS- this is a landscape card 😁

Stamp the sentiment onto a strip of lagoon card stock (or whatever color you like) with black ink. Trim to fit and place along the bottom of the white panel. Adhere the white panel to the black mat, and place this onto the gold card.

Now let’s do some die cutting.

Cut the party hat from black (base layer), white (middle layer) and lagoon-or whatever color you stamped the sentiment on- (top layer) card stock.

Cut the balloons from white (bottom layer), lagoon-or matching color-(top layer), and the strings from black card stock.

Assemble your party hats and balloons. Cut the fluffy hat topper ONCE from lagoon (or whatever your chosen color is) and add to one hat.

Add the party hats in a row across the card front- being sure to place the one with the fluffy topper in the center (adhere this one with foam adhesive) and slightly lower than the other two hats.

Adhere the three balloons inside the card.

Add some gold bling. I used confetti from Trinity stamps.
