Hello my fine feathered friends! I pray you’re doing well and enjoying the last few weeks of summer.

Today I’d like to share some Halloween tags with you. These were lots of fun and turned out great if I do say so myself ๐Ÿ˜‹

I used lots of Ranger goodies (no surprise there) and some Dew Drops.

Let’s get started, shall we?

First, paint a chipboard tag that is larger than your paper tag with black acrylic paint and set aside to dry.

Next, pick put a few colors of Distress Stain Spray and/or Oxide Spray…and any other sprays ya wanna play with ๐Ÿ˜‚ If you don’t have sprays, get out your Distress Inks/Oxide Inks. They will work too!

I used Prize Ribbon Distress Spray Stain, Wilted Violet Oxide spray, white Gloss spray (for splatter) and Dylusions ink spray in Black.

Spritz your tag(s) with water and two colors of ink. Get it moving around and then dry with heat tool. Now go in with your third color. Repeat until you’re happy with the results.

Choose a stencil and use your Prize Ribbon paint.

Now emboss some bats in the upper portion of the tag using Ranger’s Black Sparkle embossing powder. I love the way these little bats look!

Use the white spray (or watered down acrylic paint) and make some white splatters on your tags.

Let’s make a shaker! You’ll need a chipboard frame, some acetate (product packaging works great), Staz On or other permanent ink, foam tape, and some sequins to fill the shaker with.

Stamp your focal image on the acetate. Flip it over and paint in the back with some white acrylic paint. Set aside to dry.

Cover the entire frame with gold embossing powder and heat it up. I did two coats. Adhere your stamped acetate to the backside of the frame, making sure that the stamped image is facing out. Add foam tape around the back of the frame. Pick your shakey bits and put some on the acetate. Remove the liner from your foam tape and stick the second piece of acetate on. Shake your shaker! ๐Ÿ˜

Adhere your shaker to the center of the tag and start adding Halloween goodies. I used stuff from Tim Holtz, some die cut glitter bats, some sequins and some Dew Drops.

Glue your tag to the larger chipboard tag, lining up the holes on each tag. Add a little trim to the bottom of the larger base tag, and tie some trims through the holes. I also added a little bling & a word charm from Tim Holtz.

The second tag will go quickly since the background is already done!

If you haven’t done so yet, emboss your bats just like you did on the first tag. Add some die cut bats, letting some go off the edges.

Stamp your focal image on acetate using your permanent ink. Flip it over and paint behind the image with white acrylic paint. Once it’s dry, fussy cut it out and adhere it to the center of your tag (my paint wasn’t completely dry so the ink bled onto the back, and I kinda like it!).

Start adding your Halloween bits and bling.

Wala!

The hardest part about these tags was drying everything!
