Hey there hi there ho there!

Hey spring is here!

Today I have a mixed media card to share with you using some cool stamps from Viva Las Vegas Stamps.

Here’s a shot of most of the supplies. This is actually a very simple card.

Let’s get started.

Grab some watercolor paper. I started with a 5×7″ sheet and cut it down when I was finished (I used a Waffle Flower die).

Slap some watercolor paint on the paper. No particular order, choose colors that make you happy.

Get it dry and find a stencil with large open areas (this one is Dylusions) and some chalk markers. Have some fun and make some marks. You can smooth the edges with a wet brush after you remove the stencil if ya want to.

Now grab yourself the xx’s stamp and an Archival (or other permanent ink) pad in Jet Black. Do a little stamping on the paper. Once you’re happy with it, trim down to fit an A2 card (I used the 3rd Waffle Flower die in on the A2 layers die set).

Mat onto black card stock.

Place into a stamp positioned (you really want this since you’re stamping onto textured watercolor paper).

Stamp your image in the approx center of the panel as many times as it takes to get a good image (I stamped twice).

Color/embellish your lady. She’s pretty cool, huh! I just kept it simple and  added a little gold & white gel pen.

I wanted my lady to b standing in a mess of flowers, but nothing in my stash worked for this card, so I made some using this die set from Tim Holtz/Sizzix.

I watercolored some (watercolor) paper and used that to cut the flower pieces out. Once they were assembled, I inked the edges of some of them with Jet Black ink.

Now use some foam adhesive and add the panel to the card front. I used fun foam.

Start adding the flowers below the lady. I added the first layer glued flat and then started adding more using foam adhesive for some dimension.

Once all of the flowers were on, I went in and added some bling.

For “no naked insides” I stamped this gorgeous flower inside the card and added a little gold gel pen to the image.

Last but not least, add your sentiment. Stamp it on a scrap of white card stock using the same black ink and trim it out. Ink the edges and add to the top left corner of the card.
