Hello friends, I’m back today with a Christmas card, playing along with the Color Dare challenge blog.

This week’s challenge is to choose three colors from the ones shown blow;

I chose Lagoon, Avocado, and Mink.

I’m using some older Christmas stamps and simple black ink stamping.

The first thing I did was to cut a card panel using this lovely cover plate die from Pink Fresh Studio, using avocado card stock. Put that on the card base.

Next, using some lagoon card stock, I cut a decorative edge using a die from Spellbinders.

Trimmed the resulting piece to fit and placed it at the left of the card.

Now, I used mink card stock and cut some scalloped circles with dies from Spellbinders, and some white circles to stamp on (I traced around some jars and cut ’em out.(I really should get some plain circle dies 😂)

Stamped with Jet Black Archival Ink, and found the marker in my stash that was closest to lagoon…so very minimal coloring here. Layer the stamped images onto the scalloped circles.

Then I stamped Merry Christmas onto white card stock and flagged one end. Layered that onto avocado and flagged it as well.

Decide on your arrangement and glue everything down.

Add a few small embellishments and you’r done.

Supplies:

  • card base
  • card stock- Close to My Heart lagoon, avocado and mink (or the closest ya have in your stash)
  • black ink pad
  • stamps 😁
  • paper trimmer, adhesive, die cut machine, acrylic block for your stamps
  • dies- scalloped circles, order die, and cover plate die
  • embellishments (I use sequins and tiny hearts from Close to My Heart)
