Hello friends, welcome back.

Today I have a fun slimline card to share with you. I’m playing along with the Color My Heart Color Dare challenge again this week. Go check it out!

This week we have to use three of these five colors. I have Lagoon & Lemonade in my stash, and I found a good substitute for Raspberry (Bazzil Swiss dot card stock).

Let’s make a card !

Here’s most of the supplies- the card stock, word dies, and foil plate. I also used a few stickers from a Close to My Heart Kit from over the summer.

This card is a slimline but would be easy to create as a regular A2 card.

First, trim down a piece of Lagoon card stock and foil it. Because this was a long strip of paper, I had to run it through twice. I didn’t quite get it perfectly lined up but I’m ok with it.

If you have over-foiling, you can use a sand eraser to remove it.

Just be gentle if you’re using Close to my Heart (or any other white core) card stock.

Next, matt your Lagoon layer onto Lemonade. I love the way this looks.

Now cut a strip of Raspberry slightly taller than your matted piece. Mine is 1/2″ wide. Flag one end and add it behind the matted layer. Add to the card front.

Time to work on the sentiment. Cut it twice- once from Lemonade and once from Raspberry.

Stack the die cuts, with the Raspberry on top. I love the way this looks from the side. It’s not noticeable on the card front unless you just happen to catch the card laying down, but it’s a cute little surprise.

Now we need a spot for the sentiment to hang out on. Cut a strip of Lemonade and matt it onto Lagoon. I did this in reverse of the main matted layer. Roughly center this onto the card front.

Place the sentiment onto the strip. Add your embellishments.

I used a sticker from the summer kit, some sequins, and a tiny heart.

Add a couple of stickers inside the card.

There ya go, a bright happy Hello card.

I hope you like this card, and I hope it inspires you to play along with us at the Color Dare blog.
