Hellooooo out there! Welcome back! I hope you’re having a wonderful day.

Today I have a simple art journal page created using Distress Ink & Distress Oxide ink (with a few other goodies thrown in) in shades of blue.

This page was pretty quick to create and I just love it.

Let’s get started!

First, get yourself three shades of blue ink.

I used Distress InkMermaid Lagoon & Salvaged Patina, along with Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon. But hey, use that you have!

Swipe on Mermaid Lagoon & Salvaged Patina Distress using a blending tool.

Throw some water at it, dry with heat tool.

Pull out a stencil (this one is from Dylusions) and ink in random spots using the Oxide Ink (mine is Mermaid Lagoon).

Next, shift the stencil a bit and spray some shimmer spray through random spots. Remove the stencil and splatter a little of the same spray over the page.

Now grab yourself a stamp- I used a leafy stamp from Tim Holtz– and stamp in the center of the page using a light grey ink (here I used Memento London Fog).

Use some embossing ink through a second stencil (the X’s stencil is from Tim Holtz) and sprinkle with Distress Embossing Glaze. Heat to set. I did this a few times using Salvaged Patina and Prize Ribbon glazes.

Add your sentiment by stamping it onto Collage Tissue paper using permanent ink (I use Ranger’s Archival Ink). Adhere to page using matte medium (or any other wet glue you like).

Splatter with Dylusions white ink spray.

Supplies: Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Ink, Memento ink, Archival Ink, embossing ink,  Stencils, Distress Embossing Glaze, Dylusions Ink Spray, Distress Mica Spray, Collage Tissue, heat tool, matte medium or other wet glue, paint brush, mister & water.
