Happy October!

Today I have another fun Halloween shaker card. This one is for my grand daughter.

I used the adorable Clearly Whimsy Stamptember (collaboration with Simon Says Stamp) set. These mice are darn cute.

Here’s most of the supplies ( I didn’t use the patterned paper)-

Let’s make a card!

First, grab a white card base (mine is top-folding). We are going to do some stenciling, so if you aren’t comfortable doing that right on the card, cut a panel of white card stock.

I placed the stencil onto the card front at an angle. Using three Distress Inks, ink up your stencil.

Once your stenciling is finished, add more color to the card front, leaving the middle of the card pretty white.

Now flick a little Distress Mica Stain over the middle of the card. Set aside to dry.

Now let’s do some stamping.

Stamp and color your mice. I used Memento ink & alcohol markers. Die cut (or cut out) your mice.

Stamp, color and cut out some candy pieces.

Now we nee to create a shaker.

I used a Spellbinders die along with a Hero Arts circle die to create my frame.

Add acetate to the back of your frame, and add your foam tape over the acetate.

This shaker does not have a back-it’s going right onto the card.

Add a couple of the candy pieces to the center of the card.

Make a little pile of your shaker fill in the center of the card and place the shaker over the fill.

Used Bearly Art glue and weighted it down for a few minutes.

Inside the card, stencil some candies using just the left over ink one your blending too.

Stamp the sentiments.

Add your mice and remaining candy to the front of the card.

Stamp ‘hello boo’ on a scrap of white card stock, trim, and place on the shaker.

I added some of the shaker fill outside of the shaker.
